Thongs get dirty, we get it. Fortunately looking after your havaianas doesn’t need to be a hassle – follow our four simple steps below and they’ll be good as new in no time!
1. Rinse your havaianas in warm water to make any dirt easier to remove.
2. Brush the sole and straps with mild soap (eco-friendly of course) using a soft bristle brush. Don't be afraid to get in there and focus on the areas that have stubborn marks!
3. Rinse under cold water. Make sure all the soap residue is gone; no-one wants a sticky sole.
4. Dry with a soft cloth or leave to dry out of direct sunlight. Avoid strong sun exposure as this could cause shrinkage.
Whilst you can machine wash pairs with rubber soles and PVC straps, we recommended hand washing as the best option to avoid any potential damage to the product. For all havaianas with studs, metallic straps and other details such as pins, the washing machine must be avoided - stick to hand washing!
