2022 Havaianas NSW Grommet State Titles

Surfs Up! Groms from all over NSW took on the waves of Maroubra beach for the 2022 Havaianas NSW Grommet State Titles over 4 epic days (22nd – 25th July). We were stoked to be the sponsors of this event which saw the best groms of U12 and U14 surf their hearts out for the 2022 State Titles. The talent and skill in this year’s comp was unreal! The groms were put to the test at Maroubra, some facing 4-6 foot swells with offshore wind, showing their outstanding strength.

Ocean Lancaster rode his way to victory, winning the state title for U14 boys. Ben Zanatta and Chex Dempsey took second and third place.

Lucy Darragh Surfing

Lucy Darragh was crowned state champion of the U14 girls, followed by Alice Hodgson (2nd) and Halo Banfield (3rd), all showing great skill.

2022 Havaianas nsw grommet state titles u12 boys winners

In the U12 division a huge congratulations to Locana Cullen who won the state title, his very first! Jaggar Phillips taking 2nd spot, Luca Martin 3rd and Max Crowley 4th.

Superstar Talia Tebb took top spot in the U12 girls division, winning her first state title! Followed by Malia Watson (2nd), Olive Morriss (3rd) and Zara Hall (4th).

We loved seeing everyone down at Maroubra to support the groms and getting involved in our design a pair of Havaianas competition! A huge thank you to Surfing NSW, all the groms who competed and their supporters who made it a great day. See you at the next one!
